Have your drivers had eyesight tets?

The Brake Fleet Safety Forum has launched a campaign advising fleet operators to make sure drivers have regular eyesight tests.

The Forum carried out a survey with 127 fleet operators, which found that 42 per cent do not offer eyesight testing to drivers through a company scheme, while 56 per cent said they had no record of when drivers last had their eyes tested.

Following the findings of the survey the Fleet Safety Forum launched the ‘Look Sharp’ campaign, which includes a resource pack containing posters and an electronic guidance document for fleet managers to circulate to drivers. It stresses the importance of regular eye tests so that drivers can quickly spot hazards while out on the road.
